The European Union (EU) has adopted regulation no.1907/2006, also known as the REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals) regulation, which became effective from the 1st of June 2007.
Gama Electronics (Gama) is in the contacting all of our suppliers with respect to their compliance to REACH. To the best of our knowledge and belief none of the articles that we sell intentionally contain any of the 209 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC’s) currently on the candidate list in concentrations of >0.1% by weight.
The list of substances can be found at: https://echa.europa.eu/candidate-list-table
Registration is required for all companies that produce or import into the EU any substance in volumes that exceed one tonne per substance. Gama does not exceed this amount, and will therefore not be required to register.
If you have any specific concerns regarding the composition of a particular item produced by Gama, please do not hesitate to contact us and forward your concerns to Mike Ashworth – m.ashworth@gamaelectronics.co.uk
